I was gone all day this past Saturday and only left the 6500 btu window AC unit running. With the temps here in Texas close to the century mark, I knew the Old Girl was gonna be hot when I got home.
I was right about that! The inside thermometer read 94 degrees when I poked my head inside the door. Regular readers will know that I only have 30 amps available here in Calvert and

The Texas heat is not letting up and I had to come up with a plan to get some relief. I wrote about the problems I was facing with just 30 amp service last week and the inability to run both roof top mounted air conditioning units simultaneously on only 30 amps.
The only option was to purchase a small window air conditioner – hoping it would operate on the existing 20 amp breaker that

The use of the Old Girl has changed since I purchased her. Fulltiming was not even thought about at that point. I bought the recreational vehicle for occasional weekend use and to pull my 28′ enclosed car trailer to various weekend events.

Shattered tempered glass
First part of the week, my bro and I had to fly to East Texas for 2 days. I left the Chevrolet Suburban at the local airport. The City maintains the former war time landing strip nicely even though the facilities there are not staffed. At some point during our absence, the City decided to mow the grass. When we returned to the airport, I discovered the left side
