Oilfield Gate Guard Hiring and Contact Info

I have gotten a flood of requests for information regarding oil field gate guards and how other folks with recreational vehicles can obtain employment like Miss K and I did.  The following companies hire oilfield gate guards in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.  I have not contacted most of the companies and do not know what opportunities they may or may not offer.  Be advised that most companies require two people because of the 24/7 requirements of the job.

KC Services 956-236-5255

Gate Guard Services  361-949-6992

Pro Gate 830-776-8666

Trinity 979-241-1675

Oil Field  Support Services 361-815-7050

Time Keepers 956-821-5815

Alcatraz Gate Guard Services 817=209-8602

What paperwork do I need to complete:

1. Independent Contractor Agreement (most of the companies)
2. W-9 for taxes
3. Agreement for Workers’ Compensation
4. Application cards for fingerprints and Registration application
5. Level II Security Officer Exam for the Texas Dept. of Public Services
6. Passport size photo

There is a fee – $68 I think- per person to obtain the security license.  The company you are applying to may or may not pay this fee.

We are working as oilfield gate guards at the current time.  For more info on this job check out some of our additional blog posts

After having worked for several of the gate guard companies over the past few years, I have found what I think is by far the best company in the business. The company is called Site Watch. Their pay, support rigs/equipment and attitudes are by far unmatched out of all the companies that we have worked for. You should see the equipment and they have no problem providing 50amp electric and no more waiting to get our septic pumped. Just a great company to work for.

What area does Site Watch work (near what city/town)? Do they keep you busy? We’re looking to work without any down time for 6 to 7 months before we take a break. Would appreciate any info you choose to share.
      Thanks,
      Joe

Hi there. Could I ask you what equipment is provided by the gate guard service in terms of the septic, diesel, water tanks and the generator? I’m specifically looking for the size of the tanks and the generator as well as the generator brand. Thanks!

Go to the message Forums and get whatever info/assistance you need. Most gate guard companies are shorthanded at this time.

I’m currently a gate guard. I will just tell you guys that most Flowback companies offer gate guard positions also, and it doesn’t require any security background. The whole purpose of my gate guard position is to check people in and out so in case of an emergency evacuation we know how many people, who they are, what company they’re with, and limit the hours they’re on location(a max of 16 hours per day). This is currently in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas locations. I’m supplied with a laptop, internet, handheld 2-way radio, mileage for my personal vehicle, and hourly pay. Working 12 hour shifts and I’m home every night. It’s truly a dream job for me. 12/13/2012

I have worked for Gate Guard LLC for over 2 years in Ft. Worth area. However,
because of wife health issues I cannot do 24 hour gates. We live in Austin
and am interested in work for myself (w/diesel mthome)in central or east Texas.
Did 4 wells north of Ft.Worth by myself and 24 hr. days nearly did me in. Any
suggestion would be appreciated. Also interested in any work around Gonzales
    area.
Thanks for any help. Merry Xmas.

      Benny,

Join the message forum associated with the website. There has been some discussion about 12hr pipeline gates that would work just great for a single person. Pay is $100/day
