I knew my Dell XPS laptop was failing. Sometimes it would just shut off –dead. Sometimes it would burp and hiccup and throw up just a little bit. I was concerned enough that I started making backups to the external hard drive.
I mean face it, that laptop had been through some extremes. Dust, humidity, lugging it all over hell and back in my Ogio backpack — life had not been kind. It was beginning to look decrepit as well. The paint gone off the palmrest, the mouse button keys worn slick. I was prepared though… or so I thought.
