Mother Nature Intervenes

Many of our job sites have no infrastructure when we arrive. No roads, no electricity, no water and no septic system or an absence of any combination of  the above. The clients buy a piece of raw land and most of them have no experience when it comes to putting these amenities in place. We take care of all of it. One of our common tasks is installing a septic system – especially on the jobs that will take several weeks. It also works out great for the client. Once we are gone, some clients tell us they buy an RV to weekend in until their residence is finished or their friends come and visit with their RVs and it just works out nice.

This was the case with the job near Newton, TX. We project the job may last as long as 8 weeks and there was no infrastructure in place. We cut a road in as far as the RV parking area, ran underground utilities in, installed a security light and 4 50 amp hookups. We also installed a septic system. My coach is the only one here at this time and I am rather frugal with my water. I had dumped about 80 gallons of gray water into the tank by this past weekend when we had a heavy rain that saturated the ground. A 300 gallon tank with very little mass will just pop right out of the ground as the photo proves! I spent the day today re-setting the tank and I can tell you it has about 200 gallons of water in it right now to keep it firmly anchored THIS time. I am just real thankful I decided not to dump the black tank! Can you imagine the mess???
