Anybody else tiring of the shots of Weather Channel flunkies standing in water?? I damn sure am.
Me and Vela Von – Hound of the Puckerbrush- just finished a Double Dog Romp because Harvey.
While we were romping, the pumpers came through and shut every well in and shut down all the generators. The ranch manager made a purposeful stop to let me know if it got “too bad” he had a spot over at the main ranch for me and a dog to hole up. I am 100 miles north and west of Corpus and the forecast here is for 70mph wind and a foot or better of rain starting sometime tomorrow AM. The hurricane warnings start one county to the east and the outer rain bands are just starting to show up on my weather radar — maybe 30 miles to the southeast or so.
I have done everything I can do to hunker down- It is what it is at this point. I have noticed an inordinate amount of northbound traffic late last night and this morning. Many of them are RVs fleeing north. San Antone has 100 buses and 35 ambulances standing by and CPS Energy has every employee on duty. The AT&T Center and Coliseum are ready for evacuees. I am not worried about flooding here because I am on high ground. Winds at 70mph will be interesting but not apocalyptic. Tornadoes DO concern me because these storms typically spawn dozens of local tornadoes. The weather radio is on. Governor Greg Abbott has declared disaster emergencies in 30 Texas Counties yesterday.
One word of advice for all of you other folks – Go get some gas. Gas prices will be up next week – supply and demand you know.
I got full insurance on the NO Princess Palace and the Big Ass Suburban even though they are paid for exactly for this reason.
This is for you GEICO…………… Everything good pre-Harvey
Stay tuned…………..
Hey Harvey! -- 12 Noon Friday,

Stay safe. I’ll be watching for hour all clear message.
Stay safe Andy! Don’t play the tough guy! Take the ranch manager up on his offer if it gets bad.
Take care Andy, may the winds blow lengthwise on your RV instead of broadside.
Thank you so much Andy for your up date tonight..I have been so worried about you back there in the open oil fields of Texas…I know what the storms are like back there after running big rigs out there from 1991 thru 2001…up date us when every thing is clear please…I will be worried till you do…

Andy, you and the pup take care now. Looks like you are in for a ton of rain. On the next update, give us a better idea of your location, so we can follow along. ( if you can).
I’ve been a fan for years, but never wrote. This seems like an appropriate time to say hi, an wish you the best.
