MyOldRV.com is one year old this week. This internet gig has certainly come a long way in the last 15 years… or thinking back 25 years to the days of usenet and BBS’; nobody could have predicted the influence and importance of the internet.

Back in the napalm blast dot com boom, I made some silly money on the internet and NASDAQ. I was old enough to realize the ride was too intense to last very long and as it got crazier and crazier, I prepared for the train wreck.

Thanks for the Memories….

BEFORE- Acres of impenetrable brush and miles of pine trees

One of the things about getting older is the time just seems to fly by!  It does not seem like I have been here north of Newton, Tx for 51 weeks.   Don’t get me wrong,  it has been a good run here.  Nice people, a great job near completion and a profitable endeavor. Can’t really ask more than that now can you?  The only negative aspect was the distance to the sticks and bricks in Dallas.  280 miles one way is not a casual trip.

It is still muddy here and in case you don’t know it, bulldozers and sticky clay mud don’t mix too well.  I have been reading articles all afternoon about full time RV living.  I have to say that the internet is a huge source of information and I could not do without it but it is also a huge source of mis-information as well.  Consider this great (yeah right) article about how cheap fulltiming can be….
