Back in the 60’s and 70’s,  if the sticker on an item said it was Made In Japan that meant it was junk.  Most likely.  Now adays, if it says Made in China; same same.  Most likely.   The problem present day is we don’t make anything in America any more.  If other countries didn’t pick up the slack and make what we need we would do without.  Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Things Happen in Threes — The Fantastic Vent Fan Bites the Dust

First it was the LaCie External hard drive and the Zune 120 gig mp3 player and then I started to get concerned about my Fantastic Vent Fan.  The Fantastic  Fan has been running 24/7 since the first day I took the Old Girl home; going on 4 years now.  Day in and day out, hour after hour, the fan has been exhausting the cigarette smoke out of the Fish Bus.

It’s the Little Things…..

Now that I am out of the big deep freeze for awhile, it was time to do some piddlin’ around the Old Girl.   I used a precious gallon of propane to run up the Generac 6.6kw generator for an hour.  I checked all the lower compartments closely for any signs of mice.  Cold weather like we recently had really drives them inside.  I went up on the roof and swept all the pine needles away.
