Decision Time

The Land of Routinely Spectacular Sunsets

When the traffic slows at the gate and the heat comes in spades, the sameness of this gate guarding job can be overwhelming.  The guy delivers my generator fuel, I get some potable-ish water from the other guy and yet another shows up to pump out my septic.  Same guys doing the same thing on the same schedule for the last 3 years.  So one of my big challenges is filling up 16 hours of every day without going batshit crazy.

Surfin' the (air)Waves

My spring abundance

I had  a crew come in late yesterday to clean up the containment left over from the recent flowback.  Containment equipment is put in place to keep inadvertent spills from contaminating the ground.  Think a kiddie wading pool around a well head or storage tank and you got the idea.  They came rollin’ out about dark and said they would be back in the AM.  Seems every dam or ground cloth they picked up was hiding a rattlesnake and it got too dark to see.  Doesn’t surprise me much since we had a warm, wet winter and

Inundated by the Effluent

Vela Von on overwatch as I do gate guard stuff

It ain’t new news. No sir.

I left my PC at the door some months ago simply because I find it most unfortunate we all live in a hive, packed to psychosis with other people. You can read about it here or here or here if ya care.   Like it makes any sorta difference, right?  One old fat man that seldom goes to the Big Town, doesn’t facechat or twitter book and has all of 9 contacts in his NOT-a-Smartphone.   So the ripple my aberrant behavior caused in my small sphere
