Ok, so how often does it  happen here?  After all we are all about RVs and Oilfields, right?  I gotta confess that every once in awhile that damned Zune  gets to runnin’ wild and wide and then everybody gets an earful of what is going on in that white coat hanger jumble that is my brain.  I was writing the previous blog entry this AM early and just pulled up a playlist of Random Favorite tunes on the Zuney and this is but a random sample of what mayhem ensued.

So you get a six pack of youtubeness from a random playlist on a random week day morning.   Back when the blog first started, I wrote late into the night with some inspiration from that amber fluid last name o’  Beam.  I can’t lay it off on the whiskey these days.  So here ya go –

My Baby by John Hiatt from The Open Road cd.  Jangling, reverberating ,raw John Hiatt that somehow manages to sound as polished as a chamber orchestra. How does he pull that off?

‘She once put a coyote in a sleeper hold.’

Stormy Monday by the Allman Brothers Band from Live at the Fillmore East cd.  …. and the young ‘uns look at me like a bird just flew out of my hand when I say Fillmore East.   I  may be old but I got to see all the cool bands.

Complain by Stoll Vaughan from the Love Like a Mule cd.  Slick as snot but definitely not everyday Trashville fare.

Four Chambered Heart by Tom Russell from the Love and Fear cd.  Tom Russell’s genius at its’ offbeat beast.

Alcohol and Pills by Fred Eaglesmith from the Lipstick, Lies and Gasoline CD.  You might like Fred J or you might not…you need to know who he is at the very least.

None of  Us Are Free by Solomon Burke from the Don’t Give Up On Me cd.  One of the Grand Masters of R&B.
